Diabolical England booed from the pitch

England 0 - Algeria 0
After a disappointing draw with America, England hoped to build on an ok performance and secure a result that would take them a long way towards qualification from their group.
Instead, they took a backward step with a performance so lacking in quality and commitment, that they were jeered by their own fans at the end of the match.
In a game were England created barely any good chances there is now a real crisis in confidence among both players and support. Rooney’s reaction to the hecking: “Nice to see your own fans booing you. If that’s what loyal support is ... for fuck’s sake.” showed his own frustration, but was totally out of order.
Suddenly Cappelo, who said his first job as England manager was to rebuild their confidence, needs to start earning his £6m salary.
All round poor performances, especially from big names Rooney, Lampard and Gerrard.
A goalkeeper with the nickname ‘Calamity’ at least looked secure.
