Arsenal manager unhappy at "no British" criticism
Arsene Wenger has warned West Ham manager Alan Pardew that his complaints about the lack of British players in the Arsenal team smacked of racism [Wenger warns Pardew over “no British players” remarks - Yahoo! Sport]
Wenger’s assertion that: “When you represent a club, for me it’s about values and qualities, and it’s not about passports,” is totally correct, but he is unfairly avoiding Pardew’s point - Arsenal’s success in the Champions League against Real Madrid was not a success for English football, it was purely a success for Arsenal.
Now Wenger should not be criticised for that - his European record this season is something to be congratulated for. But he has behaved improperly by accusing Pardew of begin racist.

I admire Wenger so much. But I sometimes ask myself that will he be successful if he were at man utd or other clubs with more british players. I doubt?
