Minnows prove that game is not all about money
Firstly, congratulation of Havant & Waterlooville for beating Swansea to set up a tie at Anfield against Liverpool. It is great to see a small team draw a big club in the FA Cup (and Havant are smaller than usual). It seems to have happened very rarely recently.
Secondly, for their refreshing attitude. While the money they will receive for their exploits in undoubtedly important for the club, it is not overshadowing the team’s excitement in the game. This has proved a dream come true - that money could not buy - and the players and manager are relishing in that.
Hopefully, Liverpool, Anfield and the Kop can give them a day to remember. It will be a distraction from the bigger games for Liverpool, but for Havant it will the club’s greatest day.
