Four England-based managers on Madrid shortlist

Real Madrid seek high profile appointment to turn fortunes around
England coach Sven-Goran Eriksson, along with Chelsea’s Jose Mourinho, Liverpool’s Rafael Benitez and Arsenal’s Arsene Wenger are on the shortlist of manager’s wanted by Real Madrid.
In an interview with a Spanish TV channel, Real Madrid president Fernando Martin highlighted the 7 manager’s that the club are interested in. As well as the 4 ‘English’ names, there were 3 Italians, Fabio Capello, Carlo Ancelotti and Marcello Lippi.
Real are looking for a high profile name to become their 7th coach in 3 years. Martin, who was installed as president after Florentino Pérez resigned in February, wants the current coach Lopez Caro to remain at the club and gain experience under a bigger name manager.
